I finished something huge for GTA IV's 10th anniversary (I'm not gonna post it until the actual day. Even though I'll probably get so excited that I post it as early as like… the moment the clock strikes midnight on the day, but It's still not going up until the actual day) and I had been rewatching some whatever57010 videos for the millionth times shortly before I started the huge thing, and I kinda forgot how much I loved Bernie???

And I noticed when I was watching the video on the things you can hear when you bug Bryce's Infernus in TLaD (which is upsetting in some parts because upset and insecure Bernie) and I noticed Bernie called Tony by his first name? Like, I'm sure people who don't know Tony would call him Tony Prince or Gay Tony, but Bernie just said Tony. So they know each other to the point that they're on a first-name basis? That makes me super happy because I love them both to pieces (also sidenote what Bernie says about Luis "If he ever plays for our team, I hope I'm the catcher, sweetie. I do!" DAMN, BERNIE. I mean, saaame, but WOAH.)

Anyway uh, since Bernie and Tony must be friends do you think they ever… Blush Pervy emoji

Honestly of course they did. I keep imagining a scenario in my head (even before I knew Tony and Bernie are probably friends) where Bernie's deciding to visit the Maisonette to hang out with Roman (and to meet Brucie) and then Tony shows up while they're at the door waiting to come in and he says hi to them and accidentally almost calls Bernie "Florian". Just something along the lines of "Hey Fl- I MEAN, BERNIE," and they all share a brief awkward silence before Tony tries to continue while trying to act like nothing happened like "so… uh… how come you're not at… Hercules?" and Bernie explains he's here with Roman and Brucie and then all 3 of them head inside. Luckily Brucie and Dessie and all the people behind them in line have no clue what that was about, however Roman quite some time ago pieced together the whole "likes to be called Florian at certain moments" thing Talbot said, so he's just like ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) . He doesn't say anything within earshot of anyone else besides Bernie though but he still just sorta teases Bernie about it like If you know what I mean

I had the idea to use that in the plot of a fanfic. I can imagine Roman and Brucie trying to get Niko to come with them to the Maisonette in attempt to make him feel better about Kate dying, and he agrees to go with them (reluctantly because he can imagine a confrontation with Luis and/or Tony) and Bernie tags along as well and when they get there Dessie's keeping them out and then Tony shows up and almost calls Bernie Florian like I said, and he tells Dessie to let them all in not realizing that amidst all the awkwardness he just absentmindedly let in one of the guys who kidnapped Gracie. If motivation ever strikes I've been thinking of making a RPG Maker fangame (I actually have a stage somewhat done of the Maisonette, and I also had sprites of Joni and Luis but I felt like they were too tiny so I'm making bigger sprites) and I'll probably put this in somewhere. Tony probably realizes later that Niko is there and sends Luis after him. Nobody dies or even gets hurt in this confrontation though because Niko doesn't want to have these sort of confrontations anymore (or he at least just doesn't want to deal with this specific confrontation) so he just slips out before Luis can catch him. I'd like to think though that later in the story Niko manages to tell Tony and/or Luis his reasons for helping kidnap Gracie. They still probably wouldn't like him very much but they (mostly Tony) may warm up to him at least a tiny bit?

Okay I'm rambling a lot even though I should be asleep by now because I have shit to do tomorrow (er…. later, since it's past midnight) but anyway after I finished the IV 10th anniversary pic I was working on, I immediately doodled this. I was honestly getting a bit antsy because I more or less forced myself to not work on ANYTHING else this week until I completed the anniversary pic. I finished it today (well I think. If there is anything else it's just little revisions here and there) and I'm really excited to post it and I'm also really happy because IT'S DONE I CAN DRAW OTHER THINGS AGAIN! I wound up getting so many ideas in my head of things to draw so like I said it was making me antsy because I wanted to draw those but the anniversary pic was top priority.

I really wanted to draw Bernie and Tony interacting because they'd be so cute as friends? I imagine that despite how fucked up and insecure they can be at times they still try their best to comfort each other when the other is upset, even if they're not feeling too well themselves. I bet Tony doesn't like Bryce very much (I don't like Bryce either because there's internalized homophobia and having trouble coming to terms with yourself, and then there's going so far as to actively screw over your fellow LGBT+ people. Those of you who aren't familiar with GTA IV, guess which one Bryce is…). Tony wishes he knew the most gentle way to convince Bernie to leave Bryce and to explain that it would be better for both Bernie and Bryce's mental health if they just stopped dating, and that Bryce shouldn't be trying to date guys until he comes to terms with himself and quits pushing bigoted agendas.

Bernie can be kind of hard for Tony to keep up with sometimes but he loves him and… uh…. I think I might ship them to some degree?

Anyway I think I wound up drawing them as mobians because I wanted at least a brief break from drawing humans (I drew 20 characters in the anniversary pic, obviously human, so I think I wound up a little burnt out. I'm sure I'll be good after some sleep though, and then I'll draw some human Tony and Bernie and stuff. I'll probably draw a bunch of individual things and post them on Tumblr over the next few days and then I'll compile them all into one huge pic and post it here once I feel like I have a good amount of content. Or I'll still post them individually here. Depends on how I feel I guess).
I drew Bernie as a mobian a year ago, I think I meant for him to be a fox or something? I've drawn Tony anthro before although I never posted any of it, but this is the first time I drew him as a mobian. He's a cat.

Anyway I really should sleep.
