On Angel Island, the Echidna race is dying. With Lara-Le being one of the last few. With this knowledge at a young age, she started collecting and writing about Echidna history. This knowledge made Locke want to marry her. He gave her his quill-ring and she gave him her upper arm-bracelet, a sign of marriage in Echidna culture. Not long after their marriage, Lara-Le laid an egg and would soon hatch into their son, Knuckles. But as Knuckles grew up, he was forced by Locke into becoming the next guardian, even with Lara-Le's resisting. This would eventually lead into their divorce, with her taking Knuckles. But it was already to late, as Locke's teachings formed who Knuckles had become. And while Knuckles had become the new guardian, Lara-Le met 1 of the other few last echidna's in Mobias, and this one was charming, romantic and a family man. They would eventually marry and have a son as well, and unlike Locke, Wynmacher was more intrested in being a good father.
